CAMBRIDGE REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, PROJECT PLANNER.

The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority is an independent public authority with a unique set of redevelopment tools that works in close partnership with the City of Cambridge and other organizations. Work on the continuing development of Kendall Square, as well as projects relating to transportation and public access throughout the City of Cambridge, including the development of Parcel 2 in Kendall Square, the future home of an underground Eversource substation, a 400+ unit residential tower, and new commercial buildings.

McMAHON ASSOCIATES, URBAN designER.

McMahon Associates is a transportation engineering and planning firm with approximately 220 employees and offices across the Eastern Seaboard. As part of the planning department, collaborated on projects ranging from comprehensive master plans to detailed work on streetscape and bus stop redesigns. Responsible for research, writing, and graphics for public engagement strategies, concept designs, and final project recommendations and reports. Also coordinated closely with the New England marketing department to develop a more cohesive brand identity across digital and printed materials and to assist in creating project proposal materials for RFPs.

FREE CITY ZINE, TECHNICAL & DESIGN EDITOR.

Free City is a non-academic biannual publication from McGill’s School of Urban Planning, born out of the desire to reflect on the built environment outside the classroom. As Technical and Design Editor, was responsible for creating written and visual content for the publication’s covers and interior pages, maintaining website content and navigation, and developing and executing publication layout from concept to print.

Founded by urban mobility expert Michael Colville-Andersen, Copenhagenize Design Co. is an international consulting firm specializing in all matters relating to bicycle culture and planning with offices in Brussels, Barcelona, Montreal and Amsterdam. Over 400 people apply for internships with Copenhagenize each year. Developed research and writing and designed document layouts and graphics for client deliverables for cities across North America. Worked primarily on design recommendations for a bicycle network plan for the newly constructed Université de Montréal Sciences campus for the City of Montréal.

A BETTER CITY, MARKETING & ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR.

A Better City (once known as the Artery Business Committee) is a membership-based nonprofit organization that provides corporate and institutional leadership on transportation, land development, and environmental investments in downtown Boston. Worked with board members and staff on programming, social media presence, membership development, website maintenance, and providing research and writing on best practices in urban planning, placemaking, and development. Began as an administrative intern and grew to the role of coordinator, expanding the role to include preparation and execution of special events such as the State of the Norman B. Leventhal Excellence in City Building Awards.

BICYCLE BELLE, CHIEF OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE.

Local bicycle shop specializing in urban commuting and family bicycling. Was the first employee to be hired and worked as a “Jill-of-all-trades,” providing assistance in sales, customer service, merchandising, and inventory. Also maintained the company website, created graphics, managed social media, planned events, and oversaw staff communications.

Worked at weekly public events and acted as the organization’s representative for the Connect Historic Boston Initiative, a 2015 TIGER grant recipient (now known as BUILD). Evaluated existing wayfinding infrastructure in the downtown Boston area and offered feedback as part of the initiative’s advisory committee.
